In this sensory activity children aged 1 are exploring dry cereal with bowls and spoons. This allows children to develop their sight, touch, taste and hearing. Children are also developing their imagination and role play when reenacting their experiences through play. The children are also developing their physical skills to hold and use the spoons as well as their social skills when playing alongside their peers.
Wallsend Day Nursery
Wallsend Day Nursery is a childcare provider based in heart of Wallsend Town Centre, in the former Wallsend Library Building on Ferndale Avenue. We provide childcare 5 days per week and 51 weeks of the year to children aged 6 weeks to 5 years. We also offer a holiday club for older children during school holidays, and we work closely with nearby schools where children may be attending nursery part time both with ourselves and with the school. Our project is called Wallsend Day Nursery in the Community. During the project, over a period of 6 months, we will be creating helpful videos for local families, to support them both to learn and play, and interact with their children at home.
