Children are developing their pincer grip and finger muscles within this video when opening and closing the pegs. This activity also helps to develop finger isolation which means fingers working independently to manipulate objects. Check out our activity fact sheet below
Wallsend Day Nursery
Wallsend Day Nursery is a childcare provider based in heart of Wallsend Town Centre, in the former Wallsend Library Building on Ferndale Avenue. We provide childcare 5 days per week and 51 weeks of the year to children aged 6 weeks to 5 years. We also offer a holiday club for older children during school holidays, and we work closely with nearby schools where children may be attending nursery part time both with ourselves and with the school. Our project is called Wallsend Day Nursery in the Community. During the project, over a period of 6 months, we will be creating helpful videos for local families, to support them both to learn and play, and interact with their children at home.
